Waffles in OTG(with egg)

Waffles - When I was searching for sandwich maker in Amazon, I came across waffle maker and then when I searched for a low budget waffle maker, I came across waffle moulds. I placed the order and then googled recipes for making waffles(i didnt knew whether waffles recipe would be a hit or miss) There were innumerable recipes for eggless and with egg waffle batter. The one with eggless turned out to be little denser than with egg. This recipe uses egg and yielded  super soft waffles, that one of them actually broke when I tried to demould them. You wont get crispy waffles jus soft and spongy ones if you want need crispy waffles then do invest in an Electric waffle maker.

Ingredients:

Flour: l'm using organic all purpose flour. A combination of wheat flour and APF can also be used. But they yield slightly denser waffles.

Leavening agents: Aluminium free baking powder is used. 1 large whole egg is used.

Sweeteners: White sugar is used. Brown sugar or unprocessed cane sugar can also be used.

Liquids: Cold pressed sunflower oil, whole milk, vanilla essence are used.

Miscellaneous: Salt is used.

Method:

Beat the egg and sugar.

Add in the oil, milk and mix till combined.

Sieve the flour with baking powder and salt.

Combine dry ingredients into the wet ingredients.

Bake at 180 C till done.

Substitutions:

Substitute milk with buttermilk if you want to with the same quantity.

Any neutrally flavoured vegetable oil can be used in the place of sunflower oil

Accompaniments: Choco syrup, maple syrup, strawberry syrup, caramel syrup are the best accompaniments. But my son wanted to have with nutella(!) so i think that also goes well with this waffle.

Equipments used: Blender, OTG, silicone waffle moulds.
