Raw mango rasam/ maanga rasam

 





Recipe: 

Raw mango - 1/3rd of the whole

Tuvar dal - 1/3 cup

Tomato - 1( medium)

Green chillies - 2 or 3

Grated ginger -1 tsp

Salt

To saute in oil and powder:

Coriander seeds - 1.5 tsp

Pepper - 1 tsp

Jeera - 1 tsp

Tempering:

Ghee

Rai

Garlic - 2 or 3 flakes

Red chillies- 1 or 2

Hing

Curry leaves.

Directions:

1. Pressure-cook dal, mango and tomato with green chillies and ginger. 

2. Mash the dal mixture.

3. Rost the spices and powder them.

4. Add the spice mixture to the dal.

5. Add water till water soup-like consistency is achieved.

6. Add the salt and Boil the contents for a few minutes.

7. Switch off the flame and add the tempering
