Arisi upma

 Arisi upma with onion and veggies.



Ingredients:

Raw rice rawa - 1 cup

Onion - 1

Carrot - 1 grated

Green peas - a handful

Coconut - 2 tbsp (grated)

Water - 2.5 cups

Tempering:

Coconut oil - 1 tbsp

Mustard seeds

Urad dal

Chana dal

Red chillies - 6

Jeera

Curry leaves

Directions:

1. Add the tempering in a pressure cooker.

2. Saute onion, followed by veggies and coconut

3. Add the water, salt. Allow the water to come to a rolling boil.

4. Add rice rawa, slowly. Keep stirring while you add.

5. Close the lid, put the whistle and lower the flame to minimum.

6. After 1 whistle or after 10 mins. Switch off the flame.
