Goddu Rasam - Rasams have always been my favourite and my families too, This Rasam can be made with minimum ingredients available in your pantry but tastes delicious. If you are recovering from an illness or you wish to have something light for the dinner or you are suffering from a cold or flu then this Rasam is for you.

Ingredients:
Tamarind - small lemon sized
Rasam powder - 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Tuvar Dal 1/2 tsp
Tempering:
Sesame oil + ghee - 1 tsp
Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
Red chilli - 1
Asafoetida/hing - 1/2 tsp
Directions:
1.Soak tamarind in water.
1.Take a vessel.Add a tsp of tuvar Dal. Roast.
2.Add tamarind extract,turmeric powder, salt and Rasam powder.
4.Season the Rasam with the ingredients given under 'tempering'.
