Amla juice/Indian gooseberry drink

Amla juice - Amla or indian gooseberry is rich in vitamin C. It is used in combating common cold, infections and boosting immunity.  Dry Amla powder is used in hair packs to prevent premature greying of hair. Amla Murabba, Amla pachadi, Amla chutney, Amla in honey are some of the things that can be prepared with amla as the major ingredient


How to make:

Extract the juices of Fresh amla, ginger. Sweeten with honey. Add a pinch of rock salt and a tsp of lemon juice.

Serving Suggestions:

This can also be served chilled.

1 cup = 200 ml

Ingredients with measurements:

Indian gooseberry - 4 or 5

Ginger - 1"

Honey - to taste

Sendha namak or rock salt - a pinch

Few drops of lemon juice.

Filtered water - 4 cups

Directions with pics:

1. Take amla, ginger in the juicer. Add 2 cups of water and grind.

2. Filter the juice.

3. Add 2 more cups of filtered water.

4. Add a few drops of lemon juice. Sweeten with honey. 

5. Serve chilled.
